Pianists Making History through The Color-Coded Piano Orchestra

This summer, pianists and musicians will embark on a groundbreaking journey at Chromatic Summer Academy, where the world’s first Color-Coded Piano Orchestra comes to life. This isn’t just a camp, it’s a chance to be part of history, to shape an innovative musical movement, and to bring beloved film, video game, and anime soundtracks to the stage like never before.

Students will learn, collaborate, and perform in a dynamic environment filled with creativity, exploration, and artistic growth. From immersive ensemble rehearsals to hands-on workshops, every moment is designed to ignite imagination and develop skills. Beyond the piano, students will discover new artistic disciplines, build lasting friendships, and embrace the joy of musical storytelling through unique orchestration and new ideas.

This unique experience culminates in an electrifying final performance, where participants will debut the Color-Coded Piano Orchestra to the worls, a visionary concept that redefines ensemble music for pianists designed by CMA’s founder, Dr. Seba Ali, and under the guidance of CMA’s esteemed faculty and visiting artists, students will leave not only as stronger musicians but as pioneers of a new artistic movement.

At Chromatic Summer Academy, music is a powerful tool for innovation, leadership, and transformation. This is where young musicians step beyond traditional learning and into a dynamic world of problem-solving, collaboration, and creative entrepreneurship.

This summer, students will witness and shape the birth of the Color-Coded Piano Orchestra, an unprecedented ensemble that redefines the possibilities of piano performance. Through hands-on experience in music theory, composition, and orchestration, students will develop the skills to arrange, adapt, and bring their artistic visions to life, equipping them with the mindset of composers, conductors, and innovators.

More than just playing music, participants will explore the structure behind the melodies they love, from video game and anime soundtracks to classical inspirations. They’ll engage in workshops on theory, improvisation, and digital composition, preparing them not just as performers but as architects of sound ready to create, lead, and inspire.

Under the mentorship of CMA’s esteemed faculty and artists-in-residence, students will cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset needed to thrive in today’s artistic world, learning how to collaborate, adapt, and carve their own creative paths.

Chromatic is more than an academy or a camp. it’s a movement. A place where young artists become visionaries, ideas take shape, and music defines the future.

Tiny Tots

Ages: 3Y-6Y

Major Classes: Piano Lab, Drum Circle, Ukulele Jam, Music Theory, Creative Dance, and Children’s Choir.
Outdoor & Leadership Activities: Yoga, Creative Storytelling, Arts & Crafts & DIY Lab, water play, science experiments.

Tune Troopers

Ages: 6Y-10Y

Major Classes: Piano Orchestra, Intermediate Music Theory, Intro to Music Composition, Ukulele & Guitar Circles, Drum Circle, Private Instructions + Daily Guided Practice.
Outdoor & Leadership Activities: Rhythm & Movement, Yoga & Meditation, Art & Painting.

Cadence Crew

Ages: 10Y – 14Y

Major Classes: Piano Orchestra, Advanced Music Theory, Composition & Electronic Music, Private Instruction + Daily Guided Practice, Vocal Ensemble, and Drum Circle,

Outdoor & Leadership Activities: Photography & Filmmaking, Music & Mixed Media, Yoga & Meditation, Painting.

Field Walking-Distance Trips and Fun Activities
